What is
Technogym’s Medical-Scientific Department?
If we are able
to offer these solutions, we have to thank the constant research performed by
our Medical-Scientific Department. Our team of experts, supported by the
Technogym Scientific Advisory Board headed by Prof. Steven Blair, develops products that are bio-mechanically
designed for safely and appropriately treating pathologies, and tests every
piece of equipment so that is passes a series of analyses, including the baropodometric analysis, the EMG analysis or the gait analysis.
What is “Exercise
is Medicine”?
Our
medical-scientific team is also involved in promoting – by means of campaigns,
booklets and guides – healthy lifestyle habits based on the benefits deriving
from physical exercise. For this reason, we are partners of "Exercise is Medicine". The project,
initiated in the United States by the American College of Sports and the
American Medical Association, aims to define a set of standard exercises for
treating certain pathologies, in addition to transforming physical exercise
into an actual “medicine” that doctors can prescribe during each visit.
All Technogym
Oman’s equipment is certified for use in hospitals, clinics or sports centers
as an aid to therapy and rehabilitation. The materials comprising it, coupled
with the biomechanical solutions adopted, guarantee limited wear over time
